St. Petro Mohyla Institute (SPMI)
Mohyla Institute is a full service dorm style home away from home, primarily for students while they are pursuing higher education or further career development at University, Business College or Technical School.
Everyone is welcome. SPMI welcomes international students, new immigrants, and general cultural diversity. Recognized as a National Historic Event, SPMI's legacy is founded on community development and support, paving the way for multiculturalism in Canada.
Mohyla Institute is also a centre for extra-curricular activities for residents of the Instutite, students outside of the Institute, and for continued adult education. This includes internships and workshops. Preference will always be given to students, although vacancies will be filled on a case-by-case basis.
The SPMI has developed courses for studies in Ukrainian literature,
history and arts, and has fostered the finest cultural elements and 
traditions of the Ukrainian people, including folk music, folk dancing, handicrafts and domestic arts and crafts.
The SPMI carries out extension work in all parts of the province to make its services available to everyone requesting them.
The institute serves as a centre for cultural activities for Canadians of Ukrainian descent in the province of Saskatchewan.
2011/12 Room Rates
SPMI has fully furnished rooms for both male and female students. These rooms are either shared doubles, small singles or large singles. Included in the room rates is the cost of meals.
Long Term Rates
For residents staying a minimum of 4 months. Rates now include private internet service. Effective January 1, 2012:
- $900 accommodation fees for a small room, single occupancy, includes private internet
- $1000 accommodation fees for a large room, single occupancy, includes private internet
- Double occupancy base rate of $800 each, includes all meals for both parties and internet
Students of Ukrainian descent may be eligable for scholarships.

Short Term Rates
For stays up to 3 months or unknown contract lengths. Rates are effective September 1, 2011.
Teams/Groups
Single day rates start at $50/person based on shared occupancy. Please call for options and availability. A formal proposal can be provided for you.
Each resident within the group is required to fill out an application and sign a residence agreement.
Basic/Group Residence Agreement
This survey is a sample of the one visiting students are sometimes asked to complete.
Other Fees
- A damage deposit in the amount of one month’s rent will be charged upon registration in order to hold a room. This fee is non-refundable if the resident does not stay the entire term agreed upon.
- Upon vacating residence, a minimum cleaning fee of $125 will be charged up to a maximum of the cleaning and repair costs required to bring the room up to move in standards.
- Each set of keys that is not returned will result in a $75 charge upon termination of residence. If a new set is required, it may be provided for a $75 fee.
- Fines for smoking, disorderliness, extreme uncleanliness, and as determined necessary by the Executive Director, will be charged at $300.
- Late payment fee charges accrue at $10/day.
- NSF fee is $50.
- Linens are available for a one time fee of $50.
- Additional cleaning of linens will be charged at $30 per cleaning.
- Parking is available for $50/month with a minimum 4 month agreement.
